"Our choice is not to stand back and applaud our past and let progress stagnate.  Instead, we will seize the opportunity to change at least one small thing to make tomorrow a more interesting, more exciting, and yet safer world for all."

SAF-r-DIG specializes in obtaining accurate subsurface utility information for creating utility base maps.  The method used is non-destructive, minimally invasive, air/hydro/vacuum process which exposes the utility for visual verification, identification, inspection, measurements and recordation of the data for subsequent creation of the infrastructure and utility base maps.

SAF-r-DIG immediately restores the affected area to its original condition to the extent that it is sometimes difficult to tell that the task was performed.  Hence the slogan, “Performed with Surgical Skill

The foregoing activity describes an emerging specialty service identified as “Subsurface Utility Engineering”.  This professional service is promoted by, embraced, and integrated into, many Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) transportation projects. Recognition and recommendation of our services have been earned because of the federally documented savings ($17 to $1) in project construction costs, greater accuracy and shorter turnaround time when

SAF-r-DIG® services are engaged prior to the 30% design stage.  Also, Civil Engineering professionals view the unique “partner-enhanced” scope of work, revolutionary techniques, and final results, as qualified “Value-Added Engineering”.

SAF-r-DIG not only pioneered subsurface utility locating, SAF-r-DIG perfected it!

Since 1987, we have introduced innovations including: gratuitous field-engineering for office-bound designers and improved accuracy and speed in surveying by using the Global Position System (GPS).  Our new divisions,  “GeoLocate andAMERDA Robotics have improved utility mapping through new data collection methods.
